This year's RTC-NACD annual chapter meeting and reception will be held on March 25th at the Cardinal Club in Raleigh, beginning at 6:00 pm.
Following a brief general chapter business meeting, the chapter will recognize the recipients of the 2009 Robert A. Ingram and the Ron E. Doggett annual scholarships to the NACD Director Professionalism Course:
Mr. Walter Davenport, member of the Board of Directors of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina and the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina; and
Mr. John Kasberger, member of the Board of Directors of the Bob Barker Company and Mi-Connection Cable Network
Both Mr. Davenport and Mr. Kasberger will offer brief comments on their experiences at the course and its contribution to their knowledge as corporate directors.
The nominating process for the 2010 scholarships will also be introduced.
Peter Gleason, Managing Director and CFO of the National Association of Corporate Directors, will addres "Board Leadership in a New Environment" as our Keynote Speaker. With a vantage point of Washington, DC, Peter will discuss the current corporate governance legislative and regulatory changes being proposed and how boards should position themselves for the coming year.
The Annual Meeting and Reception is open to chapter members and invited guests only. This meeting and reception is provided by the chapter at no charge.
